Build video Part 3
0/33 done

The manual covers the mechanical build only — hydraulics, oil, and electronics were never given pages and live in build video Part 3. The warnings and notes here fill that gap; read them before power-up.

Valve block servo screws ship jammed all the way down → the servos overload and overheat. Back out ALL linkage screws before first power-up.P3 29:24
All valve block fittings ship loose — tighten every one before install. His only leak was an untightened fitting.P3 4:26P3 33:22
Cut the red wire on ALL ESCs except one (a single BEC powers the receiver). NEVER cut red wires on servos.P3 14:48P3 23:39
The pump cannot pick up oil below 50% tank — never run it dry. ISO 32 oil. Lock the endpoint so the pump cannot reverse (one side 40%, other 0).P3 25:46P3 32:33
Attach hydraulic lines with the cylinders bottomed out (arms fully down = lines at their longest).P3 8:22
Stiff nylon tube on the arms binds — Burnie cut his and switched to flexible hose arcs with couplers.P3 11:52
Pump: high-pressure outlet is underneath, two return options, pressure screw + gauge on the front.P3 10:05
1060 ESCs: remove the FR-mode tab, keep the LiPo tab. 4 ESCs total: 2 track, 1 turning, 1 brushless pump.P3 13:13
Turning motors: join wires red-dot-to-red-dot.P3 11:11
Channel map: 1 turn · 2 stick · 3 boom · 4 bucket · 5/6 tracks · 7 pump (endpoint-limited) · 8 coupler · 9/10 lights. Identify servos by wire length — longest = stick, at the front.P3 23:39
Mix the pump as SLAVE to each hydraulic channel for steady pressure — never mixed in reverse.P3 37:16
Light controllers: 2-channel; minus/black wires go to the MIDDLE pins.P3 41:27
Quick coupler: an M3 hex-head screw works as the tool for its scale bolts; press the ferrule sleeve over the 3 mm hose at the fittings.P3 2:20
Join overcarriage to undercarriage, add slew lock
Step 69

Join overcarriage to undercarriage, add slew lock

Recommends button head screws for these bolts; lock the slew ring retainer tight.

Snug the slew screws first and final-tighten only after the lock ring is on. Cut down any overlong bolts.P1 20:30P1 15:12
